We\'re looking for a motivated and passionate Kitchen Assistant who will be the heart of our operation for CH&CO on a part time basis, contracted to 25 hours per week. Here\'s what you need to know before applying:Key Responsibilities Food ServiceServe all food to the highest standard and in line with the CH&CO style using the correct tools and presentation techniques.Prepare and serve all beverages in a timely manner and to the CH&CO standard.To assist with food preparation in kitchen to the CH&CO standard as requiredTo set up service counters for service and keep the service areas clean, tidy and presentable in line with the CH&CO standards.Clean and wash up all equipment, kitchen and service areas to comply with cleaning schedules.Under the guidance of the GM / AGM ensure that merchandising at service counters and dining areas have products correctly priced, labelled and in date.Work with colleagues to maintain food availability during service periods.Assist in the cleaning and clearing of tables polishing of cutlery.Clean and replenish vending machines, if necessary, with change and product and deal with minor vending issues (blocked cans/incorrect loading). Report any vending issues that cannot be resolved to the AGM /GM.Handle the till and cash sales accurately and to take responsibility for the security of all monies in the till and assist with cashing up procedures.Assist in monthly stock take as directed.Customer ServiceMaintain a professional and friendly image with the client and customers at the relevant site.Attend to customer needs in a polite and helpful and friendly manner providing assistance where necessary in line with the CH&CO style.Provide information to customers about the food and make recommendations.Work with all colleagues in a polite and helpful way to ensure excellent customer service.Health & SafetyTo understand and comply with CH&CO and statutory health, hygiene and safety, quality standards including COSHH and HACCP ensuring all tasks are carried out in accordance these standards.Wear the correct uniform and safety shoes as directed and maintain uniform items appropriately.Report any equipment and/or building fabric faults and any hygiene, health and safety hazard to the GM/ AGM.Occasional ResponsibilitiesTo attend training courses and attend CH&CO meetings when necessaryAssist in monthly stock take as directed.Job Reference: com/0610/48988001/52760931/R/BU ChartwellsCH&CO, a part of Compass Group UK&I, is committed to fostering an environment where every individual can truly be themselves at work and has equal opportunities to advance in their careers.
