We're looking for a Head Bartender to join our team. In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of the bar, manage bar shifts, and lead the bar team to ensure a consistently high standard of service. You will be responsible for maintaining the flow of service, maximizing guest satisfaction, and driving revenue through effective bar management and upselling.
Responsibilities:
* Oversee and manage bar shifts, ensuring smooth operations from opening to closing.
* Lead and motivate the bar team, ensuring they adhere to Red Door's service standards.
* Monitor staff performance and provide feedback and training to ensure continuous improvement.
* Ensure the bar is fully stocked and prepared for service, including conducting regular inventory checks and placing orders as necessary.
* Handle the opening and closing procedures, including cashing up and securing the premises.
* Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient bar environment at all times.
* Collaborate with all staff to ensure seamless service throughout the venue.
* Monitor and enforce health, safety, and hygiene standards, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
* Drive sales by promoting and upselling drinks and special promotions to guests.
Requirements:
* Must be over the age of 18.
* Previous experience in a similar role. (preferred but not essential)
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to run shifts effectively and manage a team.
* Proven ability to handle the pressures of a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of service.
* Extensive knowledge of cocktails, beverages, and bar service techniques. (essential)
* Able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays (essential).
* Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.
* Confident in upselling products and driving sales to meet revenue targets.
* Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
