Are you excited by cutting-edge technology and the challenge of turning ambitious concepts into real, working systems? Would you like to work on advanced robotic platforms, novel sensors for autonomous drones, mobile ad-hoc radio networks, emergency-services communications, IoT sensing solutions, or even airborne and space-based radars? If you thrive on variety and innovation, this role offers the opportunity to work on projects just like these.
We are seeking a Senior RF Electronics Engineer who can take a leading role in the design, build and test of new radio-frequency systems and products. This is a hands-on technical position within a multidisciplinary engineering team, where you’ll see ideas evolve from early concept through to fully verified hardware.
You will be part of a highly supportive group of subject-matter experts and will have access to a modern electronics lab equipped with state-of-the-art test and measurement tools, including spectrum analysers, network analysers and anechoic chambers. The role also involves working directly with customers, so the ability to communicate complex topics clearly is important.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, simulate and develop RF and microwave circuits for next-generation products.
* Lead technical work from concept, through prototyping, to successful design verification.
* Build and test RF hardware using advanced laboratory facilities.
* Collaborate with cross-disciplinary engineers to deliver complete system solutions.
* Present technical concepts and project updates to non-technical stakeholders when required.
Desired Skills & Experience
Essential
* MEng (or equivalent) in Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
* 6+ years of post-graduate experience designing RF-based circuits (e.g., radios, radars).
* Strong RF, microwave and analogue circuit design and simulation skills.
* Experience designing amplifiers, filters, frequency synthesisers and related RF modules.
* Proven ability to take products from initial concept to successful verification.
Advantageous (not essential)
* Understanding of radio or radar system-level design.
* Team leadership or line-management experience.
* Digital circuit design skills.
* Experience working at mm-wave frequencies.
What’s on Offer
* A competitive salary and benefits package.
* A stimulating environment with cutting-edge projects and real technical variety.
* Comprehensive training, professional development and support.
* Clear pathways for career progression across technical, commercial and managerial routes.
