We’re working with a vibrant, forward-thinking primary academy in BS10 that’s looking for a Reception Supply Teacher to step into their Early Years team. This is a school where curiosity is encouraged, individuality is celebrated, and every child is supported to grow in confidence from day one.
It’s a lively, inclusive setting with a real community feel, the kind of place where classrooms are full of energy, outdoor learning is embraced, and staff genuinely enjoy working together.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll be stepping into a well-supported EYFS environment, keeping learning consistent and engaging for their youngest learners:
Delivering creative, play-based learning in line with the EYFS framework
Supporting children’s early development, from communication to confidence
Creating a warm, nurturing classroom where every child feels safe and seen
Encouraging exploration through both indoor and outdoor learning
Keeping routines running smoothly and behaviour positive
Why this school stands out
A strong focus on inclusion and celebrating every child’s individuality
A curriculum that blends structure with creativity and exploration
Supportive leadership and a collaborative staff team
A real emphasis on wellbeing, for both pupils and staff
What we’re looking for
UK QTS (or equivalent)
Experience within EYFS, ideally Reception
A calm, nurturing approach with plenty of energy and creativity
Confidence managing a busy, play-based classroom
Someone who can quickly build relationships with little learners and staff alike
The good stuff
£130 to £170 per day, or paid to scale if planning and marking is expected
Flexible work to suit your schedule
Opportunities to return to schools you love
A supportive consultant who keeps things simple and stress-free
Access to free CPD, including Thrive training to support emotional development in early years
If you love those lightbulb moments, the messy play, and the magic of Reception, this one’s worth a look.
