We are looking for an enthusiastic registered nurse with experience in ophthalmology to join our teams at County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust, as a clinical nurse specialist injector our medical retina team.

This role will cover both sites of Darlington Memorial Hospital and Bishop Auckland Hospital. The clinical nurse specialist will use specialist knowledge and skills to provide health care to patients attending the department for injections. The post holder will work alongside the medial retina consultants in the provision of care for Age related macular degeneration (AMD) and diabetic patients.
We provide hospital services from two acute sites - Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham. We have a centre for planned care in Bishop Auckland and provide care from community hospitals in Chester-le-Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale as well as over 80 other community based settings and providing care in patients' homes.
