Radiography Department Assistant (RDA)
The Radiography Department Assistant is expected to actively participate as a member of the Imaging team, contributing to the smooth and efficient running of the department, particularly in the areas of CT and Fluoroscopy. The RDA will assist radiographers, radiologists, and nurses in providing individualised care to patients, including cannulation and supporting operational flow.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain confidentiality of all patient information and clinical access.
* Participate as a member of the department team, providing the highest standard of holistic care and ensuring effective communication with the multidisciplinary team.
* Correctly identify and prepare patients for the appropriate procedure, including adequate screening for patient safety.
* Be prepared to work flexible shift patterns, including evenings and weekends.
* Be competent (after training) in performing intravenous cannulation.
Qualifications
We are looking for a caring individual with (or working towards) a NVQ Level 2/3 or Health & Social Care qualification. Experience in imaging departments and patient flow support is desirable.

Location
Based at Princess Royal Hospital, with occasional assignment to other Trust sites.
