Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineer – Near Rugby
Salary: £50,000 + benefits
Shift pattern: 4 on 4 off | Days & Nights | 12-hour shifts
We are recruiting an Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineer for a well-established and highly regarded automated distribution business with multiple sites across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity to join a modern, fast-paced operation with heavy investment in automation, people, and long-term career development.
Key Responsibilities
* Electrical fault finding on automated machinery and conveyor systems
* Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdowns
* Working with PLC-controlled equipment (fault finding, not programming)
* Supporting mechanical maintenance when required
* Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in line with site standards
* Contributing to reliability improvements and continuous improvement initiatives
About You
This role is ideal for an apprentice-trained engineer with a strong electrical bias and experience in fast-paced environments such as Food, FMCG, or Automated Distribution.
Youll Ideally Have
* A completed electrical apprenticeship
* Strong electrical maintenance and fault-finding experience
* Background in Food, FMCG, logistics, or automated warehousing environments
* Experience working with automation, conveyors, sensors, drives, and motors
* Basic PLC fault-finding knowledge (Siemens / Allen Bradley / similar)
* A proactive, team-focused approach to engineering
