Job Title: Shift Technician
CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is seeking a Shift Technician to join our team in Windsor. This role involves maintaining and monitoring building systems to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
Responsibilities:
1. Carry out routine planned preventative maintenance tasks across HV and LV distribution systems, associated plant/equipment, and HVAC mechanical cooling/heating systems as per CMMS work orders.
2. Monitor Building Management System (BMS) for operational and alarm conditions.
3. Attend to clients' A/C related issues.
4. Perform building walk-rounds, taking meter readings from UPS, PDU's, and utilities.
5. Investigate faults, identify causes, and implement remedies.
6. Prepare accurate and timely reports.
7. Ensure all corrective and repair works comply with current regulations.
8. Assist with installation works as required.
9. Participate in emergency call-out roster, providing cover during weekends and team member absences.
10. Develop a comprehensive understanding of the portfolio buildings, their layouts, functions, and complexities.
11. Build and maintain trusting relationships with Facilities Managers, client staff, and representatives.
12. Ensure compliance with safe working practices, quality standards, and best practices.
13. Contribute ideas and initiatives to improve service levels and delivery.
14. Undertake additional tasks as required by the Customer Services Supervisor or Contract Manager, based on experience and competencies.
Requirements:
* 12-hour rotating shift pattern.
* City & Guilds Electrical Competency Parts 1 & 2 or equivalent.
* Good building services knowledge.
* Experience in critical environments.
* Strong customer relationship skills.
* Working knowledge of "Permit to Work" systems.
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and processes.
* Experience with CMMS and BMS systems.
* 17th Edition IEE Regulations.
Desirable:
* Time-served electrical apprenticeship.
* Experience working in a banking environment.
* HV switching qualification/experience.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
