The opportunity
Northreach is supporting a growing commercial finance team in the search for a Business Development Executive to join a regional sales function focused on SME funding solutions. This is a newly created role designed as a genuine pathway into a future Business Development Manager position.
The role would suit someone with 2–4 years’ experience in financial services sales, commercial finance, banking, or a related environment who wants to build a long-term career in business development within a high-activity, relationship-led market.
Responsibilities
* Support senior Business Development Managers with deal preparation and pipeline activity
* Gather, organise, and assess information required to progress new business opportunities
* Assist with introducer and broker relationship management across the region
* Attend networking events, meetings, and industry functions alongside the wider sales team
* Prospect independently to help generate new business opportunities over time
* Help coordinate activity across live transactions and support deal progression
* Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure opportunities are managed effectively
* Contribute to team performance and wider regional growth objectives
Requirements
* 2–4 years’ experience in financial services sales, commercial banking, commercial finance, broker sales, or a related area
* Strong interest in developing a long-term career in SME finance and business development
* Confident communication skills and ability to build professional relationships
* Organised, proactive, and comfortable working across multiple live opportunities
* Willingness to learn funding structures, deal assessment, and broker-led sales
* Commercial mindset with a genuine interest in networking and new business activity
* Stability in career history and a strong work ethic preferred
