Overview of Role
The Operations Manager will be responsible for leading and overseeing the day-to-day operations of our Macclesfield office, ensuring the effective delivery of multisite, wide area network projects and MSP services. A key part of the role will be applying strong project management expertise to drive efficiencies, ensure deadlines are met, and deliver outstanding service for our customers.
This is a hands-on leadership role, requiring excellent organisational skills, strong stakeholder management, and the ability to translate strategy into action.
Roles and Responsibilities
· Oversee the daily operations of the Macclesfield office, ensuring alignment with group objectives and service standards.
· Lead, plan, and deliver multiple network projects simultaneously, ensuring scope, budget, quality, and timeframes are met.
· Implement and maintain project management frameworks, tools, and reporting to ensure consistent and efficient delivery.
· Work collaboratively with technical, sales, and service delivery teams to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.
· Manage and develop local operational staff, providing leadership, support, and performance management.
· Monitor KPIs, service levels, and customer satisfaction, taking action to resolve issues and embed improvements.
· Act as the key escalation point for operational and project-related issues in the Macclesfield office.
· Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory standards, and health & safety requirements.
· Contribute to the development and execution of group-level operational strategies.
Skills and Requirements
· Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience of managing teams in an operational environment.
· Proven track record of managing complex, multi-site, multi-stakeholder network projects from inception to completion.
· Extensive project management experience, ideally with formal qualification (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP, or equivalent).
· Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivery and continuous improvement.
· Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels.
· Commercial awareness and the ability to balance customer satisfaction with business objectives.
· Experience in IT, Networking, Telecoms or technology-led environments required.
