This is an exciting opportunity to join the Lambeth Contextual Safeguarding Support Team. We are looking for an experienced youth practitioner with excellent relationship-building and communication skills. Using a trauma-informed focus, you will work with some of our most vulnerable young people in the community. We deliver the Vanguard and Your Choice therapeutic interventions, and training will be provided to support your practice. Clinical supervision is also provided.
Job Purpose: To build relationships with and support children, young adults, families, and their professional networks to promote safety and support their development. This includes building capacity and developing practice. You will collaborate with the young person’s team to support their professional growth and enhance safeguarding practices against complex harms.
For 18+ Key Workers: You will develop and deliver our Transitional Safeguarding Offer for young adults, curate a service catalogue, and support young adults in accessing resources and opportunities. You will also serve as the single point of contact for specific young adults, ensuring effective information sharing across professional networks. Providing some out-of-hours support to ensure young people receive help when most needed, linking back with their professional network.
Requirements:
* NVQ Level 3 in childcare and education, NND, Health and Social Care qualification. (A, I)
* Experience of direct work with children, young people, and their families.
* Experience of effective collaborative and multi-agency working to support children and families. (A, I)
* Experience of delivering outreach and home-based support to children and families to address identified needs. (A, I)
