Job Description:
We are seeking an Application Support Specialist to join our Redzone team in the United Kingdom. We are looking for a technologist who loves a fast-paced team environment, frequent customer communication, and solving customer problems. A professional with previous experience in factory automation, especially in the Food and Beverage sector and Packaging sector, with working knowledge of Sensors, Manufacturing Equipment, and PLCs.
This is a fully remote role located in the UK. No visa sponsorship available.
Role Overview:
* Provide patience, empathy, and a customer-centric approach to support requests.
* Provide troubleshooting for hardware and software issues.
* Interact with end-users via Google Meet, email, or chat to resolve technical issues.
* Manage and record all issues and resolutions using Intercom.
* Take ownership of customer issues and see them through resolution.
* Prioritize and manage multiple customer issues simultaneously.
* Apply troubleshooting techniques before escalation.
* Monitor customer environments and proactively address issues.
* Analyze logs to identify trends and potential issues.
* Collaborate with Engineering to stay current on new technologies.
* Celebrate team goals for SLA and CSAT metrics.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
* Minimum 5+ years in Application Support, Technical Support, or BI Support.
* Expert in iOS.
* Knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control is advantageous.
* Clear communication for technical and non-technical audiences.
Desired Skills:
* Database Knowledge - ODBC, SQL Reporting Services.
* Cloud AWS features, Kubernetes Containers.
* Help Desk systems like Intercom.
* Tools like GitHub, Slack, Google Meet.
* Controls & Automation: Sensors, Manufacturing Equipment, PLCs.
* ITIL Framework knowledge.
* Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
* Self-motivated with high productivity in an unsupervised environment.
