This time off the back of an internal team change and a major acquisition. One of the key architects is stepping into a new role, and we’re now looking to bring in someone solid to help fill the gap.
I’m on the lookout for strong Java Architects and Senior Java / Polyglot Developers who’ve worked on large-scale web applications, ideally in the financial or data-heavy space. The kind of person who gets stuck into code, understands the architecture behind it, and knows how security, performance, and scalability work in practice, not just theory.
We need engineers who don’t just follow frameworks, but think about how things are wired underneath. People who understand the "why" behind decisions, who take ownership, solve problems properly, and can spot what’s broken before it becomes an issue.
Java’s a key part of the stack, but being language-flexible helps. We’ve seen value in polyglot engineers, those who’ve built a solid grounding and can jump across technologies without friction.
Hybrid setup, flexible on location, but UK time zone is easier. Most of the team is remote, with pockets across Southwest locations, so location won’t be a blocker if the fit’s right.
Salaries in the range of £70k - £90k+. Two stage interview process and mostly remote or hybrid available.
