McCarthy Stone is the UK's leading retirement living provider. We are recruiting a House Manager on a 1-year fixed-term contract to join our team at Southborough Gate, located in Tunbridge Wells, Kent.
Built in 2019, Southborough Gate is a Retirement Living development comprising 43 apartments designed for those over 60, offering excellent on-site facilities within beautiful grounds.
Hours: 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday (flexible around school hours)
Hourly rate: £21,490.34 per annum

About the Role of a House Manager
We seek a customer-centric House Manager to uphold our high standards of service. The role aims to enhance residents' quality of life and support their independence through excellent customer service, front-of-house duties, and facilities management. Building a strong community through event coordination and regular meetings to update and address residents' needs is key.
Key responsibilities include:
* Welcoming new residents and supporting their settling-in process.
* Providing professional front-of-house service and greeting visitors warmly.
* Being the primary point of contact for residents, offering help, support, and advice.
* Collaborating with partners and suppliers to ensure smooth estate operation.
* Representing McCarthy Stone to residents' families and friends.
* Handling resident issues with sensitivity, respecting confidentiality and privacy.
* Managing gardens and grounds effectively to maintain a safe, secure, and pleasant environment.
* Facilitating social activities and helping residents enjoy retirement living.
* Ensuring adherence to all Health and Safety regulations.
Ideal candidate competencies:
* Excellent communication skills with a proactive attitude.
* Extensive experience in customer service roles.
* Professional approach with high standards of quality.
* Ability to thrive in a varied and busy environment.
* Resilience and effective problem-solving skills.
* Basic understanding of Health and Safety (training provided).
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
* First aid qualifications are advantageous but training will be provided.
