Job Title: Salesforce Public Sector Solutions Lead
Slalom is looking for a senior Salesforce expert to support sales and delivery in the East/West using the Salesforce Public Sector Solutions (PSS) product. You will help government agencies use technology to solve important problems. You understand the unique challenges faced by government agencies and can address them with Salesforce PSS. Your role involves working with customers through discovery, technical and solution design, and applying best practices and platform knowledge to client solutions.
You will lead pursuits by defining the solution, architecture, writing proposals, and assisting with customer demonstrations, while collaborating with our industry selling team. You will develop expertise in the Public Sector Solutions product and work with both non-technical and technical resources to optimize its use. You impact the way Salesforce teams at Slalom manage engagements and provide transformational delivery leadership across our global portfolio of clients. You play an important role in creating meaningful work for our consultants.
Responsibilities:
1. Support Public Sector Solutions pursuits and delivery as a subject matter expert for all Salesforce projects globally
2. Lead the customer and Slalom’s delivery team with Public Sector Solutions best practices, solutions, re-usable assets, and product features
3. Collaborates to translate business requirements into solutions that leverage the Salesforce platform and PSS product
4. Provides functional and technical product support to configurators and developers
5. Assists in developing level of effort estimates for proposed solutions and articulates the benefits and risks to a solution’s feasibility and functionality
6. Contributes to sales efforts by helping design functional solutions for our clients
7. Stays updated with new Public Sector Solutions product and functional capabilities as well as refining best practices
8. Participates in marketing events (e.g., conferences, industry events, sales meetings)
9. Demonstrates thought leadership through publishing, public speaking, and client presentations
10. Supports the development of junior technical and functional team members and help build the PSS practice
11. Assists in interviewing candidates
12. 65% target utilization
13. Willingness to travel up to 50%
Qualifications:
14. 5-8 years of Salesforce experience
15. 3-5 years of Public Sector industry experience
16. Experience with Public Sector Solutions and OmniStudio, or with Salesforce’s Industry Clouds is a must
17. Strong client-facing written and oral communication skills
18. Experience with Salesforce project delivery, with a preference towards consulting experience
19. Interest in the public sector and technology
20. Active Salesforce certifications or ability to achieve relevant certifications upon hire
21. Experience in sales and pre-sales solutioning
22. Hands-on configuration experience and development is required
23. Experience with Public Sector State & Local customers is a plus
24. AI Literacy and Judgment: Understands generative AI and LLMs, applying sound judgment in their use, while ensuring data privacy and compliance.
25. AI-Assisted Design and Content Creation: Uses AI tools for exploring solutions and drafting artifacts, maintaining accuracy through human review and oversight.
26. Verification, Quality Control, and Team Enablement: Validates AI outputs against standards and expert input, and guides team members on effective AI usage to boost productivity.

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this role, we are hiring at the following levels and salary ranges:
27. East Bay, San Francisco, Silicon Valley:Senior Principal: $167,000-$258,000
28. San Diego, Los Angeles, Orange County, Seattle, Boston, Houston, New Jersey, New York City, Washington DC, Westchester:Senior Principal: $153,000-$237,000
29. All other locations:Senior Principal: $140,000-$217,000
In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
