Job Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for leading and delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The role requires strong cross-functional coordination to achieve successful project outcomes and meet customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the full project lifecycle
* Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets
* Ensure all customer requirements are fully understood, captured, and delivered.
* Provide clear and timely project status reports, highlighting risks, issues, and opportunities.
* Act as the main point of contact for customers, building strong relationships and ensuring clear communication.
* Coordinate with internal stakeholders to align project objectives.
* Manage suppliers to meet agreed lead times, cost, and quality requirements.
* Drive "Right First Time" principles to minimise rework and delays.
* Ensure compliance with automotive industry standards, customer requirements, and internal procedures.
* Contribute to lessons learned reviews and embed improvements in future projects.
* Support lean initiatives and best practice deployment across the project function.
Key Competencies & Skills
* Strong project management skills (planning, scheduling, risk management, cost control).
* Solid knowledge of APQP, PPAP, DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Problem-solving and decision-making capability under pressure.
* Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
* High attention to detail and organisational skills.
Experience & Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Project Manager within the automotive or manufacturing sector.
* Strong understanding of automotive customer requirements and OEM/Tier 1 expectations.
* Familiarity with CAD/technical drawings, BOM structures, and manufacturing processes.
* Proficiency in project management and ERP/MRP systems.
