Company Overview We are a fast-growing specialist brickwork subcontractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality masonry packages across residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. As part of our continued expansion, we are seeking an experienced Operations Manager with a background in brickwork subcontracting to oversee our growing portfolio of live projects across multiple sites. Role Overview The Operations Manager will be a key member of the senior leadership team, responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of brickwork packages across all sites. This individual will manage and support site teams, ensure programmes are met, maintain commercial performance, and uphold our commitment to safety, quality, and client satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Lead and coordinate multiple live brickwork projects across the region. Oversee and manage site teams, including Site Managers, Foremen, and Labour. Develop and maintain strong relationships with main contractors and clients. Ensure works are delivered to programme, within budget, and to specification. Monitor and support the implementation of health & safety procedures. Work closely with commercial and estimating teams on project planning, procurement, and cost control. Support recruitment and development of site staff as the company scales. Conduct regular site visits, progress reviews, and performance monitoring. Troubleshoot issues and implement improvements where required. Contribute to strategic planning as part of the leadership team. Requirements Proven experience in a similar role within a specialist brickwork subcontractor. Strong understanding of masonry construction techniques and project delivery. Track record of managing multiple concurrent projects successfully. Excellent leadership, people management, and communication skills. Commercial awareness and ability to drive performance and efficiency. Knowledge of relevant health & safety and building regulations. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites.
