Commercial Electrician needed with 2391 Location: North Somerset (works primarily within local schools) Salary: £38,000 - £42,000 per annum (depending on experience) Working Hours: Monday - Thursday: 08:00 - 17:00 Friday: 08:00 - 16:30 Role Overview We are looking for a qualified and experienced Electrician to carry out commercial electrical works across schools in North Somerset. The role will involve a mix of reactive maintenance, planned works, installations, and PPM testing, working within live education environments. This is a varied role suited to someone comfortable working independently, liaising with site staff, and maintaining high standards of safety and workmanship. Key Responsibilities: Reactive & Maintenance Works: Responding to daytime reactive call-outs in schools Fault finding and repairs Emergency lighting repairs General electrical maintenance Planned & Installation Works: LED lighting upgrades Emergency lighting installations Classroom and toilet refurbishments Installation of additional 13A power and data socket outlets Fire alarm and intruder alarm upgrades 3G pitch floodlight replacements Testing & Compliance: Carrying out PPM works Electrical Inspection Condition Reports ( EICRs ) Completing certification and reports accurately Ensuring compliance with current regulations and school safeguarding requirements Future Works: Opportunity to become involved in solar PV and battery storage installations as the business expands into this area Essential Requirements Fully qualified electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) 2391 Inspection & Testing qualification (essential) 18th Edition (BS7671) Experience in commercial electrical work, ideally within schools or similar environments Full UK driving licence Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills Ability to work safely in occupied buildings Good communication and professional manner Package & Benefits: Company vehicle Company mobile phone Company uniform Ongoing training and development Long-term, stable workload within the education sector If interested, please apply online or call Ben on 0203 006 8404 / email ben.hewlett@strong-group.co.uk
