The Role – SEMH Teaching Assistant, Merstham
As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs
* Help create a safe, structured, and positive learning environment
* Support emotional regulation, behaviour strategies, and pupil wellbeing
* Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to deliver tailored support

To be successful, you’ll bring:
* Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH or SEND needs
* A calm, empathetic, and resilient personality
* Strong communication skills to build positive relationships
* Confidence in de-escalating challenging situations and adapting on the go
