Role Overview
EQUANS is seeking 2 Electrical Supervisors based at Hinkley Power Station, working on behalf of EDF. This is a permanent, full-time position, 37.5 hours per week, with a competitive salary and benefits.
Main Responsibilities
1. Ensure safe delivery of work on-site by direct and sub-contract operatives.
2. Provide direction, supervision, and motivation, ensuring high-quality workmanship and timely performance.
3. Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, quality, and organizational procedures.
4. Interact with staff, clients, and external contractors.
5. Support other operational areas as required.
Impact and Complexity
Deliver work safely and to performance standards. Conduct site inspections, prepare quotations, risk assessments, and work schedules. Coordinate work delivery, monitor safety and performance, and report on progress.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
* BS2391-52 or willing to work toward it.
* Relevant electrical qualifications (18th Edition, NVQ3 AM2, City & Guilds 236 Part 1&2).
* Experience managing routine testing, electrical installation, maintenance, and repair.
* Minimum five years' qualified experience in electrical works.
* Experience in heavy industry or nuclear environments.
* Qualified and competent time-served Electrician with hands-on skills.
* Experience supervising subcontractors and direct reports.
* Assertive and motivated to supervise site personnel.
Preferable:
* Experience working from mobile platforms, IPAFF qualification or equivalent.
