Role and Responsibilities
We are seeking to appoint an Assistant Headteacher English and Literacy. The right candidate will be a highly valued member of our Senior Leadership Team within Team Beckfoot Oakbank. We would urge you to visit us or speak to us to find out more. In this role we are looking for an expert in English and Literacy to work alongside our experts in Maths and Science. Our Quality of Education now needs to match our behaviour.
* Drive continued improvement and lead teaching and learning in English and Literacy.
* Work as part of the Senior Leadership Team to support school improvement across the Trust.
* Provide coaching and development to staff to raise standards in English and Literacy.
* Contribute to the strategic direction of the school and ensure alignment with Trust priorities.
* Support inclusive classrooms and high-quality pedagogy across departments.
* Lead on initiatives to improve student outcomes in English and Literacy.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Experience as an educational leader with a track record of improving teaching and learning.
* Expertise in English and Literacy with ability to coach and develop teaching practice.
* Strong communication and collaborative leadership style.
* Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
* Flexibility to accommodate working patterns, including consideration of 0.8 or 0.6 part-time arrangements.
Salary, Benefits and Working Arrangements
Salary - Leadership Scale Points L13 to L17 (£69,595 to £76,770 FTE). Working Pattern – Full Time permanent position; however part time of 0.8 or 0.6 would also be considered. This role offers flexible working and a focus on reducing unnecessary workload, wellbeing, and professional growth.
