Occupational Therapist – Specialist Education Setting (Term Time Only)
Location: Berkshire (RG2)
Salary: Up to £53,200 FTE (DOE)
Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only (Full-year contract may be considered)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Bonus: £5,000 Welcome Bonus*
CPD Allowance: £2,000

About the Role
We are seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist to join a well-established, multi-disciplinary clinical wellbeing team in a specialist education setting. This is a key role focused on delivering targeted assessments and therapeutic interventions, and contributing to a wider systemic model of care and education.
You will collaborate with a team of professionals including Speech and Language Therapists and Psychologists, working closely to embed high-quality clinical practice across the school community. This role involves supporting young people with varying levels of need, including autism, developmental trauma, and complex co-occurring conditions.
The focus of your work will be driven by EHCP targets, emerging clinical themes, direct observations, and MDT input. Your contribution will help shape a nurturing and empowering environment that supports pupils through a holistic and therapeutic approach.
This position offers both autonomy and collaborative support, ideal for a proactive and experienced therapist with a clear vision of outstanding clinical care and a commitment to continuous development.
Essential Criteria
* BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy
* HCPC registration
* Knowledge of sensory integration or sensory regulation approaches
* Experience working with children and/or adults with intellectual disabilities, autism, or co-occurring needs (e.g. trauma, behaviours of concern)
* Ability to build strong partnerships and work collaboratively across services
* Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills
