Assistant Accountant | Location: Lancashire (3 days on-site, flexible hybrid working)

Guided by their values, they put people at the heart of everything they do – and now they are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their supportive Finance team.

What you’ll be doing
Working closely with our Management Accountant, you’ll play a key part in supporting the month-end process and wider finance function. Typical responsibilities will include:
* Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts
* Posting journals, accruals, and prepayments
* Reconciling control accounts and bank accounts
* Assisting with budget monitoring and variance analysis
* Supporting the production of financial reports for managers and stakeholders
* Maintaining accurate financial records in line with audit and compliance requirements
* Providing day-to-day support across the finance team as required
What we’re looking for
* A degree in Accounting & Finance or part-qualified AAT with ambitions to continue studies
* Strong numeracy skills with attention to detail
* A proactive approach and willingness to learn
* Good IT skills, particularly Excel and finance systems
* A values-driven team player who is passionate about making a difference
