To achieve and exceed operational and sales objectives by maintaining and expanding customer base, recommending strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans and ensuring high customer-service standards. Promote / sell/ secure orders from existing and prospective customers through a relationship based approach within your dedicated region. Travel throughout the designated territory to sell and promote Maui Jim sunglasses / Zeal Products. Grow sales and increase business by calling on accounts to carry out the Company's marketing plans and policies.
The essential responsibilities and duties of this position are:
* Maintain and increase the sales of Maui Jim sunglasses and ZEAL Products to accounts in a specific geographic region.
* Promote Maui Jim sunglasses and ZEAL products in your designated area, calling on accounts to implement the company's marketing plans and policies.
* Provide accounts with product knowledge and technical assistance.
* Offer training, (RX) advice, and support to ensure accounts provide accurate information, knowledge, with appropriate RSP and service levels to end customers.
* Collect and provide feedback on market trends and competitors.
* Develop and maintain direct relationships with retail stores in your territories to ensure they sell MJ / ZEAL according to brand standards and increase shelf space.
* Plan marketing activities aligned with the company's marketing agenda and guidelines.
* Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers through in-person visits, calls, and emails.
* Present a professional image to all account types while promoting company services and policies.
* Keep and update necessary territory records and information for management.
* Collaborate with the Sales Director to optimize call cycle routes using company tools, track account visits, and complete call missions.
* Travel overnight as needed to ensure adequate sales coverage of the territory.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
* Gather and share market intelligence to improve service and market penetration.
* Inform management about developments affecting the territory's economy or growth potential.
* Represent the company at industry meetings or functions as requested. Complete sales and expense reports promptly.
* Develop a comprehensive understanding of each account's needs to identify opportunities and measure success.
* Stock take.
* Perform other related tasks as required.
Special Physical Requirements:
* Ability to utilize PC / smartphone / tablet.
* Ability to travel overnight and carry 30 pounds.
* Driver’s license and access to storage facilities.
* Effective communication skills in various business settings.
Desired qualifications:
Preferred education and experience:
* University degree in business with 2-3 years of successful field sales experience. Experience in the sunglass or optical industry is preferred.
Equivalent experience in lieu of education:
* High school diploma with 1-2 years of college and 3-4 years of field sales experience. Experience in the sunglass or optical industry is preferred.
