We are delighted to present an excellent opportunity for a Facilities and Maintenance Manager to join a luxury hotel chain in London.
About the role:
Our client owns and manages several signature hotels in the UK and internationally, often listed or within conservation areas. The focus of this facilities management role is on UK properties, primarily in London, with a regional presence. Each hotel features distinctive décor, rooms, and F&B offerings, each with its own operational challenges.
About you:
We seek an experienced facilities and maintenance manager who understands asset management, cyclical maintenance programs, and reactive maintenance. Proficiency with building management systems (BMS), energy-saving initiatives, and Net Zero strategies is essential.
You should have a background working in complex environments, possibly from the forces, trades, or with a relevant degree, and ideally possess professional affiliations. Key skills include management of building services, property services, suppliers, and experience in the hotel or leisure sector is advantageous.
Key responsibilities include:
* Contract negotiations with suppliers and service providers
* Implementing annual maintenance schedules
* Preparing and managing capital expenditure budgets
* Overseeing health & safety, risk management, compliance, and operational plans
* Managing onsite teams and external contractors to ensure value and best practices
* Supporting hotel general managers
* Managing utilities and ensuring testing and certification compliance
* Implementing BMS installation programs
* Participating in team and executive meetings
* Responding to critical incidents as needed
The successful candidate will have a pragmatic, proactive attitude and be comfortable with responsibility.
This is a full-time role initially focused on UK properties, with potential to oversee the entire portfolio in the future.
