Salary: £58,461 – £60,573 pa inclusive

Fixed-term contract and/or secondment opportunity for Ealing Council employees for one year

Ealing Children’s Services is looking for a legal proceedings case manager, with a range of key skills, to support and embed compliance with cases subject to Public Law Outline and guidance regarding the timeliness of care proceedings for children.

Our new case manager will work closely with social workers and managers, CAFCASS, the courts and all other stakeholders to ensure that:

* Care proceedings are timely
* Planning for children is robust
* Children achieve safety and permanence as early in their lives as possible. This will include securing progression on individual cases, as well as tracking all care proceedings cases and identifying and acting on trends regarding delay.


Currently working as either a childcare social worker or lawyer, you will have:

* Considerable experience of care proceedings
* The ability to negotiate and work collaboratively across a range of stakeholders
* Excellent organisational, written and communication skills
* Sound knowledge of child protection and permanency planning for children.


You must have the right to work in the UK. Evidence for the right to work in the UK will be requested at the interview stage.

The position is for a fixed period of one year. External applicants will be offered a fixed-term contract and existing Ealing Council employees will be offered the opportunity of a secondment.
