We’re currently recruiting for a Waking Nightshift Children’s Residential Worker, a vital role that ensures young people feel supported, safe, and cared for throughout the night.
What you’ll be doing:
1. Creating a peaceful, secure, and nurturing environment while the children sleep
2. Being a consistent and reassuring presence for any young person who needs support during the night
3. Supporting evening and morning routines, including handovers and light household tasks
4. Responding to any incidents or needs with compassion and professionalism
What we’re looking for:
We’re looking for a calm, caring, and patient individual who understands the importance of emotional and physical safety. You’ll need to stay alert throughout the night, respond to the needs of young people with empathy, and manage any unexpected situations with confidence. Being a good listener who offers support without judgment is essential. While experience working with children or young people is an advantage, we’re happy to provide full training to the right person. A full manual driving licence is required.
