About the Role
Ever thought about working in education but don’t have a teaching qualification? This could be the perfect first step.
We’re looking for a confident, adaptable person to join a friendly secondary school in North Tyneside as a Cover Supervisor. You’ll supervise classes when teachers are absent, making sure lessons run smoothly and students stay focused. All lesson plans and resources are provided – your job is to keep learning on track.
This is a brilliant opportunity for anyone who enjoys working with young people and wants to gain school experience. Many people use this role as a stepping stone into teacher training or other education careers.
What You’ll Be Doing
1. Supervising classes across a range of subjects (no planning or marking required)
2. Supporting students to stay engaged and complete set work
3. Managing classroom behaviour in a calm, positive way
4. Building confidence and relationships with pupils and staff
5. Acting as a key part of the school day-to-day team
