As the times in which we live and work are changing, the pressures on some families have increased. This means that now more than ever, Calderdale children are in need of loving families to give them a safe and stable home through this difficult time and beyond.
At Calderdale Council, we offer unique opportunities for people to make a real difference in every moment of a child’s life. We are seeking local foster carers to support our children and become part of Calderdale’s fostering team.
You will receive financial support, comprehensive training, and dedicated support from our experienced practitioners at every stage.
Applicants need to be over 21 years old, have a spare bedroom, and a commitment to support a young person in your care. All foster carers undergo a full assessment, including DBS and medical checks.
We welcome enquiries from people of all religions, races, genders, and sexualities. Our foster carers reflect a wide range of circumstances and life experiences, and we assess every application on an individual basis.
Current circumstances, however challenging, may offer an opportunity for you to consider fostering, especially as many of us are spending more time at home and contemplating changes in our lives and careers.
