A summary of the role
1. Management accounting role with elements of internal reporting, financial planning, analysis, financial compliance, decision-support, business support
2. Support 5 legal entities based in the UK, Germany, and Switzerland
3. Reporting to the Head of Finance
4. Based in Dalgety Bay, Fife, Scotland
5. We are flexible in our way of working and strongly encourage a hybrid model of part office/part remote (office 2 days per week)
Your day-to-day responsibilities include
6. Assisting in month-end closing activities including reporting, variance analysis, KPI’s, spend reporting, profitability i.e. understand the P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow
7. Support the Budget and Forecast exercises
8. Financial analysis including business cases and pricing requests
9. Identify trends, risks and opportunities within the business
10. Develop & improve reporting tools, models, and dashboards and general process improvements
11. Business Partner with non-finance teams to provide financial insights & challenge assumptions
12. Comply with internal controls and general financial compliance requirements
13. Support internal and external audit activity
Desired Skills and Abilities
14. Qualified Accountant with 1-2 years post-qual experience
15. Good working knowledge of both UK and International Accounting and Financial Reporting Standards
16. Very strong knowledge of Excel
17. Must be a quick learner, pro-active, well organised and self- motivated
18. Collaborative and team orientated
19. Good communication skills at all levels within the organisation
20. Ability to use initiative and self-starter
21. Knowledge of SAP would be an advantage
22. Previous experience of working in the Finance function within a large international Group
