An opportunity has arisen to join the Families’ Health and Wellbeing 0-19 Service delivering public health services to children and families across Staffordshire.
We have a vacancy for a Band 4 Public Health Advisor/Nursery Nurse based in the Lichfield and Surrounds South Staffs Team. This post is a part time (18.75 hours) vacancy.
We are looking for a motivated and conscientious professional with excellent communication skills who has the ability to work independently and as part of a corporate skill mixed 0-19 team delivering the Healthy Child Programme (2026) using a public health approach.
You will require appropriate qualifications for the role and have excellent communication and development assessment skills, partnership working and a strong commitment towards delivering aspects of the Healthy Child Programme. The successful applicant will need to work to the service specification and demonstrate the trust values at all times. You will be expected to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of all aspects of safeguarding children whilst being supported by robust supervision, guidelines, policies along with role specific training and development.
Main duties of the job
* To support aspects of the Healthy Child Programme for a varied, unique and diverse population.
* Carrying out thorough development assessments for the children within our population.
* You will work across clinic venues and family homes.
* You will be able to support local families on a variety of issues including developmental and behaviour concerns.
* You will lead by example and encourage effective team working to develop others and ensure the best outcomes for our children and families.
* You will be communicating with colleagues within our own service, along with those partner agencies across the health service, social care and the local authority, through referrals and information sharing.
* You may also support other members of the team with involvement in our well baby clinic.
The successful applicant must have the ability to travel within the Trust.

* Higher Apprenticeship level 5/Foundation Degree/Diploma (QCF/NVQ level 4) in related subject.
