This role requires the candidate who is already holding active Security Check (SC) clearance in accordance with UK Government standards.
Responsibilities
* Design, implement and manage Exadata Cloud Service ExaCS database solutions
* Develop and maintain database architecture strategies to support business goals
* Lead the migration and integration of databases across multi‑cloud database environments including Oracle Cloud, AWS, Azure and Google Cloud
* Ensure high availability, scalability and performance of database systems
* Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define and implement database solutions that meet business requirements
Requirements
* Hands‑on experience with migrating large databases to Exadata ExaCS / ExaCC platform
* Experience with migrating database to ATP/ADW
* Design database consolidation and reduce OPEX spending
* Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior database architects and administrators
* Conduct performance tuning, capacity planning and security assessments
* Stay updated with the latest advancements in database technologies and cloud offerings
* Implement and manage Exadata X9 hardware including persistent memory (PMem) and RDMA algorithms to optimize performance and reduce latency
* Deploy and manage Exadata X1110M98 hardware leveraging its scale‑out high‑performance database servers and intelligent storage servers
* Extensive knowledge and troubleshooting experience in the following areas: RAC, RAT testing, ASM, Exadata performance tuning, Data Guard, Physical and Logical DG, Broker
* Experience in database security (TDE, Audit, Vault, OKV, etc)
* Experience in OS administration (Linux, Solaris, virtualization, storage, ZFS, ZDLRA)
