The Role: We are seeking an ambitious and talented Sous Chef to join our dedicated kitchen team. You will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in the day-to-day operation of the kitchen, maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. This is a hands-on role that requires strong leadership, creativity, and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional food. Key Responsibilities: Support the Head Chef in overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring smooth service and exceptional food quality. Lead and inspire the kitchen brigade, fostering a positive and productive environment. Maintain high standards of food preparation and presentation, focusing on locally sourced ingredients. Contribute to menu planning, development, and cost control. Ensure full compliance with food safety, health, and safety regulations. Manage inventory, stock control, and ordering processes. Train and mentor junior chefs, helping to develop their skills and maintain high standards. Assist in delivering events and functions, ensuring consistent quality and service. About You: Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a high-volume, quality-led kitchen environment. Passionate about using fresh, local ingredients to create exceptional dishes. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop the team. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Knowledge of health, safety, and food hygiene regulations. A creative flair for menu development and presentation. Flexible to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and evenings.
