Steel Erector - Magherafelt
A full-time, permanent opportunity is available for a skilled Steel Erector to join a busy and dynamic team. The role involves working with structural steel and fabrication, assembling a variety of metal structures to exacting safety and quality standards. You’ll need a strong understanding of steelwork and the ability to work effectively both on your own and alongside others to deliver projects to a high standard. About the role:

2. Monday to Thursday (8.00am - 5.00pm) Friday (8.00am - 4.00pm)

What you'll be doing in this role:
6. Assemble and erect structural steel frameworks for buildings and other structures.
7. Fabricate metal components according to specifications using hand tools and power tools.
8. Perform welding tasks including stick welding.
9. Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
10. Collaborate with other tradespeople to coordinate tasks on-site.
11. Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following health and safety protocols.
12. Use basic maths skills to read blueprints and calculate measurements accurately
What you'll need for this role:
13. Proven experience as an Ironworker or in a similar role within the construction industry.
14. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
15. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise.
16. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
17. Excellent physical stamina and strength, capable of lifting heavy materials.
18. Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
19. A valid health and safety certification is advantageous but not essential.
