Nuffield Health Plymouth Hospital.
The Nuffield Health Plymouth Hospital is situated next to the Nuffield Health Devonshire Gym, in Derriford, Plymouth, and has been part of the Plymouth community since 1971.
Our Diagnostic Imaging department handles plain film studies for inpatients, outpatients, and external referrals, theatre lists, general and MSK ultrasound clinics, and fluoroscopy. We operate a mobile CT service several times a month and a mobile MRI service several times a week. This service is currently managed by a third party, but as Head of Department, you would have overall responsibility for this service. We have three main theatres and a minor operations theatre. Two of the main theatres have laminar flow, and most orthopaedic and spinal surgeries are carried out there. Our outpatient department has 12 consulting rooms.
We perform treatments across various specialties including Orthopaedics, Plastic Surgery, and Neurosurgery. Recently, we were rated in the top 50 hospitals in the country for our total hip replacement patient outcomes.
