Veterinary Receptionist position - 40 hours a week.

Fareham Park Gate Vets for Pets are seeking a friendly and organised candidate with a passion for providing a service that goes above and beyond, to join our existing reception team. The position available is for 40 hours a week on a static rota which will include a mixture of morning, evening & weekend shifts. For this position you will be our first point of contact for our clients and will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive experience is provided for both pets and their owners.

About us:
Fareham Park Gate Vets for Pets is situated inside the Pets at Home store on Southampton Road opposite B&Q. We are a veterinary surgery that is dedicated to providing our patients with the best possible care, including diagnostics and surgery. We form part of a family of veterinary surgeries in the Solent area which includes, Portsmouth Solent Vets For Pets, Fareham Collingwood Vets for Pets, Waterlooville Vets for Pets and Havant Vets for Pets.

The Ideal Candidate needs to:

1. Provide a polite and confident telephone manner and deal with a range of client emotions.
2. Be able to multi-task in a busy environment.
3. Have relevant client facing experience and excellent customer service.
4. Have good communication skills.
5. Be able to work well within a team, with both non-clinical and clinical staff.
6. Be presentable and provide a positive experience for our clientele.
7. Experience using Microsoft word and excel.
8. Previous reception experience is required: veterinary training will be provided.

Main responsibilities will include:

9. Greeting clients with a warm welcome, both in person and over the phone.
10. Answering phones and managing our digital services including emails and text.
11. Administration tasks including paperwork for hospitalised inpatients, insurance claim forms and daily cashing up reports.
12. Provide clear communication between clients and the veterinary team.
13. Booking appointments, placing prescription orders and recording all client and patient information accurately on to our in-house system.
14. Keeping the reception area tidy, organized, and welcoming for clients and patients.
15. Discussing our bespoke package offers to clients to deliver the best care for our patients.
