Brief Description
B37 7BA We are looking for a friendly, reliable and motivated Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team. This is a great opportunity to earn while you learn, gaining hands‑on experience in a healthcare environment while working towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification.
Qualifications Required
GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.
For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.

* Somebody based within 30 minutes of the pharmacy (please make it clear on your CV if you are able to drive)
* A genuine interest in healthcare and working with people

* Good attention to detail and willingness to learn

* Basic IT skills
* No previous pharmacy experience is required; full training is provided.
Training to be Provided
Pharmacy Services Assistant Level 2 (GCSE) and Functional Skills if required.
Pharmacy Assistant Apprenticeship - Birmingham
Key Duties
* Support customers at the medicines counter and respond to queries.
* Assist with the preparation and supply of prescriptions under supervision.
* Handle stock, deliveries and maintain accurate records.
* Use pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales.
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness, health & safety and confidentiality.
* Work as part of a team to ensure excellent customer service.
Apprenticeship Details
* Qualification: Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship.
* Duration: Typically 15 months.
* Training delivered alongside your job through blended learning.
* Apprentices must be able to commit to contracted working hours and guided learning hours.
