About Kicks Count
Kicks Count is a national charity working to reduce stillbirth and neonatal death by raising awareness of the importance of monitoring baby movements during pregnancy. All fundraising is currently carried out by the CEO, and as the charity continues to grow, we are looking to appoint a dedicated Fundraiser to take the charity's income generation to the next level.
Purpose of the Role
The Fundraiser will lead on all aspects of fundraising for the charity, helping to sustain and grow income across multiple fundraising streams. This is a flexible role where the successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape their work around their particular fundraising strengths.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and grow existing fundraising streams.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, funders, corporate partners, and supporters.
* Research and apply for relevant grant and trust funding opportunities.
* Develop new fundraising initiatives and income streams in line with charity objectives.
* Manage donor records and fundraising data (Donorfy CRM).
* Work closely with the CEO to develop fundraising strategy and support volunteers.
* Manage or support community fundraising, events, and campaigns as required.
* Ensure all fundraising activity complies with relevant legislation and best practice.
Essential Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in fundraising.
* Strong organisational skills.
* Proactive and capable of taking initiative.
* Comfortable working independently and managing own workload.
* Passion for the mission of reducing stillbirth and neonatal death.
Desirable Skills & Experience
* Previous experience using Donorfy or similar CRM system.
* Experience of working in a small charity environment.
* Experience working with digital fundraising platforms (e.g. JustGiving, Enthuse).
Personal Attributes
* Organised, efficient, and detail-oriented.
* Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
* Excellent communicator, both written and verbal.
* Empathetic and sensitive to the work of the charity.
