Vision for Education, a Welsh Government-approved agency based in Cardiff, is working in partnership with a cluster of well-supported and welcoming primary schools across the Cwmbran area. These schools are ideal for newly qualified teachers, offering strong mentoring and a positive environment in which to grow your skills and confidence.
Opportunities are available across both Foundation Phase and Key Stage 2. Roles include a mix of flexible short-term placements and longer-term teaching positions starting in September 2025.
As an ECT, your responsibilities will include delivering creative and engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners, supporting pupils to make progress across the curriculum, contributing to planning and marking where required, promoting positive behaviour and a safe learning environment, working collaboratively with colleagues and support staff, and becoming an active and valued member of the school community.
We are looking for teachers who hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK, are confident and adaptable when working with different age groups, are available for full-time or part-time work, can demonstrate strong classroom management and a proactive attitude, are registered (or willing to register) with the Education Workforce Council (EWC), and hold or are willing to apply for an enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service.
Vision for Education offers weekly pay from £166.33 per day, with long-term placements paid to scale. You will be paid via PAYE with no umbrella company deductions. We also provide free access to ongoing CPD and training designed for ECTs, a dedicated consultant who will support your development, access to a user-friendly app to manage your availability and timesheets, a £125 bonus for referring a friend who works 30 days or more, and automatic enrolment into our workplace pension scheme.
