As a Principal Structural Engineer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of submarine construction. Your responsibilities will include: Conducting
analysis and design
of complex steel structures using Eurocodes, British Standards, and BAE standards. Utilizing your knowledge of specific regulations and requirements, including LOLER, codes of compliance, and weld specifications. Interpreting and applying computer-based analytical techniques, including finite element analysis and CAD modeling (Abaqus, S-Frame). Supporting the manufacturing, assembly, lifting, handling, and installation processes of submarine structures, modules, and components. Contributing to the production of concept drawings, layouts, and other technical outputs to meet contractual requirements, target dates, and budget demands. Overseeing approvals and checking analysis and outputs to ensure quality and compliance. Your Skills and Experience:
We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications: Engineering Degree
(BEng/MEng) or equivalent experience. Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Incorporated Engineer (IEng) status, or nearing CEng status. Expertise in
structural steel analysis and design
. Fully conversant with Eurocodes and British Standards. Competent in reviewing and checking design outputs. Good understanding of mechanical engineering, structural steelwork, and knowledge of lifting handling and LOLER. Why Join Us?
