Key Responsibilities
* Control all production scrap & downtime; record the information on IQMS.
* Maintain plant equipment and machinery to a high standard using planned maintenance programs and relevant systems.
* Complete all press set-ups within the required time frame, using the setting sheets provided.
* Carry out first-off quality checks before production of parts for orders.
* Report any tooling issues when completing press set-ups and during production runs.
* Monitor all weights and respond to changing trends to maximize efficiency.
* Provide continuous service to the production line, checking the quality of parts by completing line inspections and supporting the shift leader.
* Monitor IQMS closely to ensure all machines are running at least on cycle or up to 5 seconds quicker to maintain the production plan.
* Keep scrap below 0.9% during your shift.
* Control all tank cleaning and WIP stock.
* Complete all relevant checks, including steam leak reports, machine condition, 5S, and other required inspections.
* Complete repairs to all plant equipment promptly and safely. Contact technical support or the recommended contractor if unable to complete repairs.
* Fault find process issues efficiently, ensuring root causes are identified and addressed or reported.
* Carry out daily line audits, monitor procedures and fitting standards, ensuring tasks are completed on time, fully, and to quality standards.
* Complete improvement projects, presenting findings professionally and tracking any savings.
* Report all issues to the relevant person/department using the correct systems and paperwork.
* Complete job sheets and provide shift-end reports to the Production Manager.
* Demonstrate excellent communication and decision-making skills.
* Be self-motivated to develop and seek training opportunities.
* Follow all safety procedures diligently, prioritizing safety at all times.
Working hours
Two-shift rotation: Monday to Friday, 6am to 2pm & Monday to Thursday, 2pm to 11pm, with Friday hours from 2pm to 6pm.
