Assembly Fitter – Sheet Metal Location: Burnley Pay: £18.25 per hour PAYE / £24.36 per hour Umbrella Contract: Ongoing Morson Edge are recruiting for Assembly Fitters to join a leading Aerospace manufacturing environment based in Burnley. This role sits within a sheet metal assembly team, working on the build and assembly of aircraft structures and components to exacting quality and engineering standards. The Role You will assemble sheet metal aircraft components using engineering drawings, templates and fixtures. The role requires strong mechanical fitting skills, accuracy and the ability to work safely in a production environment. Key Responsibilities Assemble sheet metal aircraft components and structures Install aerospace fasteners and hardware to specification Drill, ream, countersink and bolt components as required Work to engineering drawings, work instructions and quality requirements Use hand tools and mechanical equipment safely and accurately Maintain housekeeping and adhere to Health & Safety procedures Skills & Experience Required Time-served apprenticeship in Aircraft Fitting, Sheet Metal or similar discipline Experience working in an Aerospace manufacturing or assembly environment Ability to interpret engineering drawings confidently Strong attention to detail and high-quality workmanship Comfortable working as part of a team in a production setting This is a strong opportunity for experienced Assembly Fitters looking for ongoing contract work within a well-established Aerospace facility in Burnley.
