The purchasing planner manages and optimises stock redistribution across the network, ensuring maximum availability for our customers. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, proactive communication, and collaboration across various business streams. The role also supports the business by providing detailed reports and ensuring stock-related decisions are aligned with the company's commercial goals.
The Day to Day
* Plan and coordinate the redistribution of stock across the network to maintain optimal availability
* Monitoring stock levels, identifying and raising potential stock issues in a timely manner
* Liaise with warehouses to organise and prioritise additional stock movements
* Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to facilitate any additional stock requirements
* Generate and distribute reports to provide insights and updates for various internal departments
* Review fleet business performance, ensuring maximum availability is maintained
* Monitor and report on quality assurance
Who we're looking for
* The ideal candidate has strong communication skills with the ability to build effective working relationships across functions
* 3+ years related experience working within purchasing, procurement or supply chain functions

* Collaborative skills in resolving long and short positions in inventory
* Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
* You need to be strong enough to keep calm and diplomatic when under pressure
* This role can require quick thinking to spot trends, evaluate large amounts of data and make sound decisions. Things can change very quickly and there are always deadlines to meet
