Are you an experienced Psychotherapist with experience working with children and young people?

Join us at Marlborough House Adolescent Unit in Swindon, part of Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust. We are looking for a Family and Systemic Psychotherapist to deliver specialist systemic therapy for young people with complex mental health needs. Our inpatient unit is set in a calming environment with access to outdoor spaces, supporting therapeutic work that values connection with nature as part of recovery.


Main duties of the job

* Provides specialist systemic assessments and interventions for young people, families, and carers.
* Works autonomously in assessment, treatment planning, and discharge.
* Offers consultation and supervision to colleagues and trainees, promoting systemic thinking across the team.
* Contributes to risk assessment and management in a multidisciplinary setting.
* Delivers training and live supervision to staff and support service development.
* Engages in audit, research, and evaluation to improve outcomes.

Skills and Experience


Essential criteria

* Capacity to work with complex families and young people in crisis
* Be able to provide consultation and supervision within the multidisciplinary team
* Skills facilitating groupwork with both staff, patients and there families in a range of contexts


Desirable criteria

* A keen interest in utilising nature based elements to therapeutic working
* Additional interests and experience that would enhance working within a CAMHS GAU setting


Personal qualities and values


Essential criteria

* Evidence of qualities and values essential to working with complex families in crisis and providing leadership and supervision to the wider MDT within a CAMHS GAU setting
