Your new role
Reporting to the Head of Finance and working as part of an expanding and collaborative team, key responsibilities will include:
1. Prepare monthly management accounts including profit/loss, balance sheets and cash-flow reporting, plus variance analysis and financial performancementary
2. Prepare and review budgets, forecasts and long-term financial planning
3. Provide detailed financial insights into ongoing initiatives including capital projects
4. Play a pivotal role in finance systems and reporting developments and improvements
5. Business partner with budgets holders across the organisation to monitor performance, control costs and support efficiencies
6. Support with year-end processes, audit preparation and financialernance
7. Support with capital project and business case evaluation
8. Ensurepliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements and organisation policies
9. Provide cover and support across the finance function where required
10. Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Finance department
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will be fully qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or have equivalent professional experience as a Management Accountant. A proven track record of producing monthly management accounts and budgets and forecasts within aplex environment will be pivotal, as will possessing strong analytical skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with finance and non-finance colleagues. Excellent systems and Excel skills will be key, alongside the ability to review and make systems and process improvements.
