As a Professional Services Engineer, you'll play a vital role within the Delivery team to ensure the successful execution of the company's business mission, satisfying clients and meeting their expectations. You will have strong customer-facing skills and work across the project lifecycle, onboarding clients, securing their data, and ensuring satisfaction with all Access deliverables. Ultimately, you will be a trusted advisor for our customers, providing timely and accurate solutions to their technical problems.
Day-to-day, you will:
1. Provide technical knowledge and input into designing and estimating customer solutions.
2. Understand customer technology, products, and test requirements to recommend solutions.
3. Design, plan, and execute customer deliverables using best practice methodologies.
4. Implement technical solutions such as networking & connectivity (including configuration & installation of networking hardware), M365, and customer migrations.
5. Lead and take ownership of all technical aspects of customer engagements and implementations.
6. Develop solution requirements and estimate effort in project scoping.
7. Troubleshoot and resolve network or system issues, adhering to internal escalation routes.
Access Managed Services seeks an experienced and competent Professional Services / Network Engineer to provide technical expertise across various customer projects. Leading on network, connectivity, Microsoft 365, and hosted infrastructure projects, you will contribute to our knowledge base and deliver excellent results for clients. Reporting to the Head of Customer Delivery and Onboarding, you will deliver projects end-to-end, including design, implementation, configuration, testing, documentation, and supporting the acceptance process.
Qualifications and skills include:
* Strong communication skills, both written and spoken, with proven customer service experience.
* Experience administering and supporting the latest network and infrastructure technologies.
* Experience with the latest Microsoft technologies.
* Working knowledge of ITIL standards, including Change Management.
* Networking/infrastructure certifications are desirable.
* Previous experience working for a managed IT service provider.
* A current, valid driving license, with willingness to travel to customer sites and work out of hours as needed.
Technical delivery experience should include:
* Firewalls (SonicWall, Meraki)
* Switching and routing, VLANs, networking technologies (Meraki, Netgear)
* Router CLI configuration (Cisco)
* Wi-Fi deployments (Meraki)
* Microsoft Windows Server OS
* Microsoft Exchange Server
* Microsoft VMware vSphere and vCentre
* Microsoft Active Directory
* Microsoft 365 (including mail migrations, Intune deployment, Conditional Access, Azure AD, SharePoint, backups)
* Mimecast
