Job title: Consultant Nurse and NMP Lead for Physical/Mental Health Services
Main duties of the job
* Represent the Trust and participate in relevant local, regional and national forums related to non-medical prescribing and medicines optimisation.
* Provide expert advice, clinical supervision and training to the non-medical prescribing workforce and partner organisations.
* Lead on developing and delivering multi-disciplinary advanced clinical practice and research, prescribing competence, quality and safety across the organisation.
* Work with the Trust Medicines Safety officer to embed medicines safety and medicines optimisation into clinical practice and contribute to policy developments to support safe practice.
* Contribute to research and development projects within the service.
* Deliver clinical leadership and help shape service development with a track record of delivering to agreed targets.
This role requires a motivated, dynamic individual with experience working at an operational level with a range of stakeholders and a track record for service development and delivering to targets. The successful candidate will be supported by a well-established team and have opportunities to develop their career and make a difference to patients’ lives.
You will deliver clinical care for at least 25% of your job plan, with remaining time dedicated to leadership, education and training, quality improvement and research.
Qualifications
* Qualified nurse registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills.
* Experience in education, training, quality improvement and policy development.
