Baker Oakham (Training) - Wellingborough (Permanent Site) £14.00 - £15.00 per hour Monday – Friday 6:00am start 8 hour shifts (finish time dependent on workload) Temporary to Permanent Immediate Start We are seeking an experienced and skilled Baker with a strong understanding of laminated and enriched doughs. This is a hands-on production role ideal for someone who takes pride in producing high-quality baked goods and thrives in a team-focused bakery environment. Production is fast-paced, and while shifts are 8 hours, the team works until the day’s production is complete. On busier days, everyone works together to ensure targets are met. Duties Preparing laminated and enriched dough products, including pastries and specials Managing the full production process from dough preparation to baking Working to established recipes and production schedules Assessing dough readiness and adjusting processes accordingly Supporting stock control and ingredient rotation Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety Assisting with routine compliance and safety checks Contributing to a positive and efficient production environmentKey Requirements Previous experience in a bakery or pastry environment Strong practical knowledge of lamination, fermentation, and dough handling Confident managing production from preparation through to baking Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high attention to detail Physically able to lift heavy dough and ingredient bags Team-focused attitude and willingness to support colleagues on busy production daysIf you are interested in this position and believe this could be for you, please contact us on (phone number removed) or email your CV to (url removed)
