The Role
As a highly skilled and motivated Associate Software Integration & Test Engineer, you will be working with experienced colleagues supporting integration & test activities across a range of projects in the Defence and Security domains.
Day-to-day, you’ll will not only be exposed to several exciting projects QinetiQ are operating on, but will also develop your talent, by working on a range of skills at the forefront of technology with colleagues who are recognised as experts in their field. Your work will contribute to our vision to be the chosen partner around the world innovating for our customer’s advantage to create, test and enable the effective use of new ways to save lives.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Support the build, integration and testing of bespoke and COTS simulation systems to create a synthetic training environment that performs to the defined requirements
2. Interface with key internal stakeholders in the hardware, software or firmware teams and technical leadership
3. Troubleshooting and problem solving during the integration of complex systems
4. Undertake regression, functional and performance testing
Essential experience of the Associate Software Integration & Test Engineer:
5. Experience in the integration, test and delivery of complex software systems to verify and validate a system against its requirements within the defence or adjacent sectors
6. Experience developing robust & accurate system level test plans, cases and procedures
7. Experience of regression, functional or performance testing
8. Experience with test automation frameworks and tools
9. Experience using, configuring and integrating COTS software products
10. Experience of change control, configuration management and defect tracking processes and systems
Essential qualifications for the Associate Software Integration & Test Engineer:
11. Degree Level qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent and relevant experience will be considered
12. ISTQB Advanced Level Technical Test Analyst

This role is 37 hours per week based at Farnborough. Travel to other QinetiQ and customer sites will be expected.
