Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting for an experienced Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a specialist school in Andover on a permanent basis

About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and resilient Learning Support Assistant to support pupils aged 4–11 years with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
You will play a key role in helping pupils develop confidence, regulate emotions, engage in learning, and achieve positive outcomes both academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities
* Support pupils aged 4–11 with SEMH needs on a 1:1 and small-group basis.
* Assist in delivering engaging learning activities tailored to individual needs.
* Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils.
* Support the implementation of behaviour management and intervention strategies.
* Help create a safe, structured and nurturing learning environment.
* Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff and external professionals.
The Ideal Candidate
* Has previous experience working with children with SEMH needs and/or challenging behaviour.
* Is calm, patient and resilient when managing complex behaviours.
* Possesses excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
* Has a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable children and young people.
* Can work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
